The Princess Margaret Genomics Centre (PMGC; www.pmgenomics.ca) is one of Canada's largest genomics services providers. We are finding a permanent full-time Research Technician II to join our growing group. Working under the direction of senior staff, the successful applicant will utilize standardized laboratory techniques and procedures in genomics and molecular biology applications including sequencing library construction and Illumina sequencer activity; perform investigations and examination; convey and keep up records of trial information. As an integral member at the Genomics Centre, a core facility, the research technician must be dedicated and result-driven and will be involved in all aspects of service projects, 

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in genomics, sub-atomic science or related control
In 3 years of involvement in standard sub-atomic science research center strategies, for example, Standard recombinant DNA procedures including cloning, bacterial change, and little to huge scope plasmid preparation Experience with PCR response set up and purification Mammalian cell tissue culture experience Experience with lentiviral molecule creation and cell transduction with lentivirus is an asset Next-age/profound sequencing methods is an asset
Experience with single cell genomics strategies is a resource

Excellent organizational and time management skills
An eagerness to learn new methods and advancements
